Website Review: Fife Towing – Seattle towing company

Business Name: Fife Service & TowingURL: http://www.fifetowing.com/servicesThis is a nice website. Everything designed to be easy to find. The nav bar across the top consists of Home, Commercial Towing, Services, Redeeming a Vehicle, Coupons, Blog and Contact.Their blog seems to be updated once a month – and has some good tips there.Their services are for both normal car owners and for commercial vehicles – i.e. over the road trucks. (And they do tow away for the city, as well.)They tow cars, motorcycles, 5th wheels, motor homes and containers. But…

Website review: Mr. Sparky of Seattle

Company name: Mister SparkyURL: http://www.mistersparkyofseattle.com/ Business: West Seattle electricianThis is a nice website – very much an electrician’s website, with bright yellow and red colors. Has a slider going across the top offering their on-time guarantee; their promise to be clean, friendly and courteous; and the assurance that they take the qualities of applicants seriously – not everyone off the street is hired to be one of their electricians. The nav bar across the top is simple to use: About Us, Services, Products, Guarantee, Blog, Appointment, and Contact Us.Perhaps I’m an old fuddy duddy, but I don’t like drop down menus that don’t drop down ALL the …

Don’t know what to say

Don’t know what to say

Except my habits have changed and I have not been as enthusiastic about sharing my Kindle and other reading experiences as I have. I have been knitting (first time in years) and have found it, along with crocheting, to be as relaxing as can be!I still have a passion for books. Lately I have been reading (with my daughter in St. Augustine) a rather old Christian novel titled Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. It is the amazing story of Hosea in a novel form. Talk about unconditional LOVE! I really enjoy reading books with my daughter. Since we live so far apart, give us a cell phone and a good book …

The problem on playlist re-sorting on the Kindle Fire

The problem on playlist re-sorting on the Kindle Fire

Android Kindle Fire tablets need the following hypthothetical app: 1. Use the app’s file manager to select a folder of video files. 2. Automatically make a new playlist of all files in that folder. 3. Then apply a best-guess intelligent re-sorting of the playlist order, if file naming is not strictly 001-100. 4. Allow the user to make final adjustments in the playing order, by manual selection of files and moving them via hold-drag. 5. Save the resulting playlist in the folder, in the playlist format for any chosen video player. Why is this needed? Because no video player I can find has this relatively simple and useful feature. Not even…
