Hoopla to Bring Original Harry Potter Audiobooks in the US and Canada
Hoopla announced the Harry Potter audiobook series narrated by the acclaimed actor Stephen Fry is going to be available in the US and Canada via public libraries starting June 1. This makes for a momentous occasion given that this is the first time the top-rated audiobook series will be available in these regions, something that the libraries have been demanding for a long time now. Pottermore Publishing, the global digital publisher of the Harry Potter series, said they are equally excited about the development and look forward to seeing all existing and new fans of Harry Potter enjoying the audiobooks.
“The Harry Potter series has delighted fans of all ages for decades. Stephen Fry’s narration brings so much charm to these audiobook recordings,” said Jennie McCann, Pottermore Publishing’s Managing Director. “We’re thrilled to work with Hoopla to bring this audiobook series to libraries and their patrons across the U.S. and Canada and invite both new and existing fans of the series into the world of Harry Potter™.”
Hoopla said there would be zero waiting time as the audiobooks would be available to listeners immediately. Library members won’t be required to place any holds on the audiobooks as well. The same narrated by Jim Dale will be available as usual, making things all the more enjoyable. Patrons can now choose between two narrations of the widely popular Harry Potter series for the first time.
“We’re very excited to debut this additional Harry Potter experience, providing libraries and patrons even more audiobook content from a series as beloved as Harry Potter – without having to experience long holds or waits to access them,” said Brad Rose, VP of Content Strategy at hoopla Digital. “Harry Potter has been among the most popular ebook and audiobook titles on our platform, and with this new launch, we’re able to give patrons access to Stephen Fry’s classic performances for the first time.”
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I’ll likely make a film sometime in the future.
