Amazon’s most recent Kindle Fire marketing effort is the introduction of Amazon Coins.  They’ve released their own digital currency that can be used to purchase apps and games from the Amazon Appstore.  On the surface it’s a confusing move, given the larger trend of companies moving away from internally controlled currencies, but there’s a lot to be said for the idea if it is handled correctly. See that little button at the top of this post with the “k” on it? If you click it, you will be given the opportunity to send the post in its entirety to your Kindle reading device. First, you’ll have to log in to an account with a Kindle reading device associated with it.
